In this blog I'll be documenting the evidence of my work experience. From finding placement, to what I got up to and what I learnt.
During this module I will need to independently find at least five days of work experience within the art industry. Examples of work experience I could look for include shadowing another illustrator, completing commissions, helping set up exhibitions, or running a stall at an art fair.
My first thought was I could shadow my friend Tyler for a day, as he's a local tattooist and that is something I am interested in learning more about. I have spoken to him about this and he is happy for me to do so, so long as his boss gives us the OK. We are going to discuss it further once I know more about the formal process of applying for work experience.
This task will make up 40% of my grade for this module, and it will also help me get a better idea of what kind of career I may or may not want to pursue once I complete my course. I am excited to learn more and be inspired!
